Software engineer (Python focused, Java, AI experience)

For one of our partners, we're looking for Software engineers with experience in Python, Java and AI integrations. This role requires a minimum of 8 years of software development experience.

The Role

Role within an AI Engineering team focused on building scalable, reusable generative AI services and platform capabilities. The position combines platform architecture, backend engineering, and AI integration into production systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural design and ensure technical consistency across services
• Design and develop reusable generative AI services and components 
• Translate AI prototypes into production-ready systems 
• Contribute to system design across multiple services and modules 
• Define and promote engineering best practices (scalability, observability, CI/CD, testing) 
• Work in Kubernetes environments to deploy scalable applications 
• Collaborate with product, platform, and research teams 
• Mentor engineers and contribute to engineering standards 
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and cross-team initiatives 
• Stay updated with generative AI developments and promote responsible adoption

What We’re Looking For 

• Proven experience leading technical architecture for large-scale platforms or services.
• Solid understanding of software development methodologies and data modeling principles. 
• Deep expertise in Python and Java. 
• Strong proficiency in backend development and familiarity with modern AI/LLM tools and frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LangGraph). 
• Strong experience with Kubernetes (EKS) and cloud-native architectures. 
• Proven track record building scalable backend systems and APIs. 
• Experience mentoring engineers and contributing to architectural decisions. 
• Ability to work collaboratively across functions in an Agile or Kanban environment.

Nice to Have 

• Experience operationalizing LLMs or building internal AI platforms. 
• Familiarity with observability practices (metrics, logging, alerts). 
• Exposure to knowledge graphs or semantic search systems.
